Plots Gone Wild

In 2005, Mr. David Fink began planting food plots and starting habitat improvements for a conservation project on the farm. The reason for this project was to provide the wildlife the things that were necessary for them to thrive in that location. This of course seemed to be an easy task because David has a lifetime of hands on farming experience but in fact it was far from it and this began the journey to become Plots Gone Wild.

David has a passion for the outdoors and introducing the next generation to it and teaching them about the responsibility of conservation and the effect on the wildlife and their habitat that people have on it good or bad. Over the next few years of taking both young and old to the field to experience the wildlife and pass on the passion, the project began showing results. The results were encouraging but David believed it could still be improved by refining the planned improvements.

The project plan was revised to provide a better class of food source and for it to be in the field at the proper time that the wildlife actually needed it. This began by providing more than just normal agricultural crops grown in this area. Seeds were picked out and tried over several years to see if they were sought out by the wildlife and how much they had improved in size and health. Over the next 10 years of the project, many lessons had been learned (as well as few mistakes made)  but this project made this area a sustainable place for wildlife year round.

Over a decade of doing the improvements and food plots, and a lifetime of outdoors experience, David decided to put all the lessons to good use. That is when Plots Gone Wild formally began to benefit those wanting these types of improvements.
